Our Story

We are two sisters from Jerusalem, Palestine, raised among stories woven into fabric — stories carried in every stitch of the traditional thobe. For us, these pieces were never just clothing. They were memory, identity, and home.

As time passed, we realized something was slowly fading. The thobe once worn in everyday life became reserved for special occasions. And with that, a part of our heritage was quietly being set aside.

Jaffra began with a simple but meaningful intention:

To bring our heritage back into everyday life.

We source authentic vintage thobes from women across Palestine — garments that hold years, sometimes generations, of history. Each piece is carefully reimagined and transformed into modern designs, allowing it to be worn, lived in, and loved again.

Not preserved behind glass — but carried forward.

Alongside our vintage pieces, Our denim jackets, vests, shirts, and sweaters are more than just clothing — they are living stories stitched with love and resilience. Each design carries the tradition of Palestinian Tatreez, reimagined into modern, everyday fashion so the next generation can wear their heritage with pride.

Behind every stitch is a journey. Women artisans in the West Bank dedicate hours to their embroidery, while skilled tailors — including some displaced from Gaza and now living in the West Bank — help bring each garment to life. Local factories produce our leather straps and hoodies, ensuring that every detail reflects authenticity and quality.

But bringing these treasures to you is never easy. We cross cities under closures, navigate checkpoints, and face daily challenges in Palestine. And yet, through every obstacle, we remain committed to one mission: to keep our culture alive, wearable, and close to your heart.

Jaffra is more than a brand. It is a bridge between past and present. It’s heritage renewed, resilience honored, and identity carried proudly into today’s world.
